In GlocalExpert, different localization teams are set up and their joint efforts provide flexible, powerful support to meet client’s unique requirements. All our translators are native speakers and we have an abundant resource pool composed of in-house linguists and external translation partners distributed across the globe. We have enough qualified available resources to troubleshoot and promptly address all your challenges within the contractually agreed upon turnaround times.
Project Manager (Single Point of Contact) The Project Manager will be the single point of contact on the GlocalExpert side for the client. The PM manages the entire team and allocates resources, communicates with the client and is responsible for the overall project success. The PM will also coordinate technical teams and testing areas within GlocalExpert and collects reports. He/she will summarize the project status on a weekly and monthly basis and submit summaries to the client’s management staff to keep them aligned and aware of the latest project progress.
Translation Team
We adopt pyramid architecture for our translation team. The whole team includes junior translators (2-year experience or less), middle-class translators (3 to 7 years) and senior translators (8+ years). The proofreading team includes both linguistic experts and subject matter experts. The PM will allocate proper resources according to the actual project requirements and build up a translation team. Translators will work according to the project schedule and translation instruction provided by PM. To avoid inconsistent terms and style, we use CAT tools such as Trados, SDLX and Workfast. The finished files will be delivered to proofreaders and domain consultants for further proofreading and editing.
Localization Engineering (LE) Team
The objective of LE team is to technically assist the localization team. LE team is also responsible for the communication with the development team and QA team within GlocalExpert. Some of the main focus of the LE team include preparing localization kit (file conversion, pre-process, format checking), building, compiling, testing, fixing bugs and supporting translation team. Our localization engineers are also experienced in localization and internationalization and they have extensive knowledge in the most up-to-date CAT tools such as Trados, SDLX, Passolo and Alchemy Catalyst. In addition, they are familiar with localization tools, software development languages and code pages.
DTP Team
The term "desktop publishing" is commonly used to describe page layout skills. However, the skills and software are not limited to paper and book publishing. The same skills and software are often used to create graphics for point of sale displays, promotional items, trade show exhibits, retail package designs, and outdoor signs.
GlocalExpert has a dedicated DTP team to provide an attractive and fitting design in the desired format. Using Adobe Frame-maker, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and sundry DTP tools, our professional DTP colleagues will design a perfect, press-ready lay-out for your text. HTML or source files delivered in a different format for your website will, following translation, be returned to you in the same format and lay-out, including the localization of graphic images. With such a team, we are capable of delivering any multi-lingual DTP services within a localization project.
QA Team
GlocalExpert QA team has rich experiences in functional and linguistic testing. Our testing engineers are proficient in ClearQuest, WinRunner, Loadrunner, Testdirector, QuickTest Professional as well as other testing tools. In a typical localization test, the QA team works together to detect and report any functional and/or linguistic bugs that are specific to the localized software. The QA team is responsible for testing environment configurations, running test scripts, recording and reporting bugs, as well as reporting testing progress.
